This style of furniture was very popular in the 1890's, and many items from magazine racks to writing desks were conjured up in this way. This small light table is quite sturdy, and has the added advantage of having a lower shelf. They are idea for today's modern conservatory (plants on top, magazines below?) or indeed a second bedroom or more informal space. Useful, has style, and doesn't break the budget.
